Spurs vs. Bulls: NBA Game Preview at YouWager

San Antonio Spurs vs.Chicago Bulls

Tip-off: Monday, February 11, 2013 – 8:00 PM ET

United Center, Chicago, IL

YouWager line movers are still uncertain in Tim Duncan or Manu Ginobili will be able to make it tonight in the Chicago Bulls games against the San Antonio Spurs, however the latter seem to be in good hands with Tony Parker suiting up once again.

The 30 year-old point guard looks to help the Spurs earn a 13th win in 14 games when they meet the Bulls who are making it back to Chicago after an up-and-down road trip.

Duncan has missed eight of the last 10 games due to a sore left knee, while Ginobili has sat out four straight with tightness in his left hamstring. Coach Gregg Popovich has stated that he will not rush back two of his key players, and it’s unknown if either will be able to play tonight.

However, Parker had to assist big time once again Sunday, scoring 29 points and adding 11 assists in a 111-86 win versus the Brooklyn Nets — the third of a franchise-record nine straight road games.

The sizzling point guard had 31 points and eight assists in each of the two previous games — including Friday’s defeat versus the Detroit Pistons that ended an 11-game winning streak — and is averaging 27.2 points and shooting 62.7 percent from the field over his last six.

Coach Popovich believes Parker is making a case for MVP in the process.

However, the Spurs (40-12) have dropped four of the last five meetings with Chicago, including both in Bulls territory during that stretch. Parker hit only 5 of 16 from the field and scored 11 points in a 96-89 home defeat in the most recent meeting Feb. 29.

Chicago (30-20) is in the middle of playing 10 of 12 games away from the United Center, however they’ll get a break from the road after splitting a six-game road trip.

After winning two of the first three, the Bullls lost by 10 points versus the Indiana Pacers on Monday before being routed by the Denver Nuggets 128-96 on Thursday. The team bounced back for a 93-89 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday behind Carlos Boozer’s team-high 19 points.

The Spurs ranks second in field goal percentage (48.8) and fourth scoring 104.2 points per NBA game.
