Charlotte Bobcats vs. Chicago Bulls
Tip-off: Monday, December 31, 2012 – 3:00 PM ET
United Center, Chicago, IL
YouWager experts consider that if the Charlotte Bobcats want to finally snap their lengthy skid they have to find a way to be more competitive away from home.
For the Chicago Bulls, back-to-back games against two of the league’s bottom feeders will possibly help them out as well.
This evening Charlotte will try to avoid their 19th consecutive defeat when they make it to Chicago, a team that has won five straight in the series.
The Bobcats (7-23) are one defeat away from becoming the fourth team since 1986-87 to go winless in at least 16 games in a month. Charlotte has already done it once, going 0-16 in April. The Cleveland Cavaliers were 0-16 in January of 2010-11 and Vancouver went 0-17 in March of 1995-96.
The Bobcats haven’t won since Nov. 24 versus the Washington Wizards and are also closing in on their franchise-record 23-game losing streak at the end of the 2011-12 NBA season.
Charlotte looked like they might stop the awful slide Saturday night building a 21-point first-half lead, however the New Orleans Hornets rallied for a 98-95 victory.
Now Charlotte is away from home, where they’ve been useless during their losing streak. The Bobcats dropped nine in a row there by an average of 17.4 points, compared to 9.3 at home over that span.
According to the NBA live lines Chicago (16-12) is looking for its fourth home victory in five games after halting a two-game losing streak on Saturday night with an 87-77 victory over league-worst Washington.
The Bulls have won five of six against the Bobcats at the United Center, including a 95-89 win in January last season.
While Chicago has averaged just 86.3 points in their last three, they should be able to find open looks against the Bobcats who have allowed a league-worst 108.6 points in December.
