Did Augusta State University violate a student’s constitutional rights by making her take diversity sensitivity workshops to change her anti-gay beliefs?

Will that student, Jennifer Keeton, abandon her Christian beliefs to get a diploma?

An online site, YouWager.com, is allowing people to wage money and opinions on possible outcomes of the federal lawsuit Keeton filed against Augusta State last week.

Keeton, a graduate student in the school of counseling, accused the university of violating her rights by ordering her to change her views opposing homosexuality. Her lawsuit alleges she was ordered to complete a remediation plan or risk expulsion.

University officials said they have not been served with the lawsuit and declined to comment.

The betting Web site emphasizes athletic events but includes current events. One could bet on possible changes in airline policy, such as a fee to use the bathroom. Or place a wager on what will happen to Playboy magazine in the next six months.
